Registration

Why do I need to pay the processing fee?
The fee is charged to discourage users who are not serious in bidding for the Golden Numbers as well as to defray the costs of administration.

Why do I need my credit card information when registering? Is there a charge for bidding on a Golden Number?
There is a non refundable Processing Fee of $10 payable for every number that you wish to bid for. This $10 fee will be deducted from your credit card when you register online. If your bid is successful, you will pay the remaining bid amount to StarHub.

There is a firewall in my office network. Will I be able to register?
If your company has a firewall installed, you may not be able to have your credit card transaction approved. If this is so, you would have to register from a terminal which does not have a firewall.

I don't have an email address! What can I do?
A valid email account is necessary for us to send you the ID and password for you to log in. Notification of successful and unsuccessful bids will also be sent to you via email within 7 days from the close of the auctions. If you don't have an email address, you can register an account at any of the free email sites on the Internet, such as Hotmail.

How secure are my credit card transactions?
The EzPay One Touch System uses SET (Secure Electronic Transaction) standards. SET is the most secure online payment solution to date. This ensures that your credit card details are NEVER stored by the site you are using (it isn't possible) and the transmission of the details are encrypted using a strong 128-bit encryption and sent via SSL (secure socket layer), a secured channel, to the bank.

During the 3rd part of the registration process, you will be re-directed to the EzPay One Touch System. You will be prompted for your credit card details. After you have keyed in your credit card information, the system will send the data via an SSL connection to NETS. The information is encrypted and secure. After the checks are done by NETS, you will be told whether the payment is successful. After a successful payment, you can proceed to bid on the StarHub Golden Number of your choice!

If you encounter a failed / timeout situation, please click on your browser's BACK button to try again. No money will be deducted for failed / timeout situations. If in the unlikely event that such occurrences happen, StarHub will refund the deposit to your account.

Why do I need to indicate if I wish to sign up for a 2G or 3G subscription plan?
This is necessary since 2G SIM cards are different from 3G USIM cards. In order to use your new Golden Number on either networks, you will need to have the numbers mapped to the relevant cards. StarHub will prepare the card according to your chosen option so that you will have a hassle free registration when you sign up for the plan at our shop.
